Our History

Opened in March 2005 the Warming House is owned and operated by Dan & Kelly Lundquist and family to serve as a Gathering Place for the local communities of Cloquet, Esko, and Carlton area. Unlike our seasonal restaurant ( Gordy’s Hi-Hat ), the Warming House is open year-round to provide an easy stop for travelers passing through any time of year.

In 2004 Dan & Kelly remodeled the building, which is actually the old Lindquist homestead. They moved the smaller ice cream parlor from Gordy’s Hi-Hat ( right next door ) to the building, expanded it 32 flavors, added a full gourmet coffee house, menu, plus soups, sandwiches & more.
